Hello, I'm Miss Sally, an early year’s educator with a deep-seated passion for nurturing young minds and hearts. My journey in education began as a Teaching Assistant at Leyland St James School, but my true calling has always been within the early years sector. When the opportunity arose to join the nursery, I eagerly embraced it, and it has been the most rewarding chapter of my career.
One of my proudest achievements has been the establishment and growth of our nursery gardening club. Over the years, this initiative has blossomed into a cherished part of our community, complete with its own allotment area. Inspired by the research of Stiner on slowing life down for children, I have integrated gardening into our curriculum to teach patience, responsibility, and the joy of nurturing living things.
As a mother of three grown-up boys, I have a profound understanding of playful and energetic children. This personal experience, coupled with my professional expertise, allows me to create an inclusive and stimulating environment where every child feels welcome and valued. You will often find me chatting away with our little friends in the allotment area, fostering a sense of curiosity and connection to nature.
I am committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children can thrive, explore, and grow. My approach is rooted in the belief that every child deserves to feel heard, valued, and inspired. I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of the children and families I have the privilege to work with.
