Daycare and Puppy Club

Auntie’s Doggie Daycare is a weekday pet-sitting service providing high-quality canine care in our specially designed and adapted Doggie Daycare facility. We are open Monday to Friday each week, excluding public holidays and centre holidays.

Dogs are naturally sociable animals and benefit greatly from interaction, play and companionship with other dogs. At Auntie’s, this interaction is carefully managed in a professional, safe and sympathetic environment by our dedicated, fully trained and employed Doggie Daycare team.

Through supervised play and positive interaction, dogs are able to develop their social skills, build confidence and learn appropriate canine etiquette, or simply put, their doggie manners! Our aim is for every dog to enjoy a fun, stimulating and rewarding day in an environment where they feel comfortable and secure.

To provide the safest and most enjoyable environment possible, Auntie’s has a number of “School Rules” that must be followed. These rules are in place to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of every dog in our care, as well as our team members.

Our requirements include appropriate vaccinations and health protection, neutering where applicable, and an assessment of each dog's behaviour and temperament before joining Daycare. Puppy Club members are not required to be neutered due to their age, where appropriate.

These measures help Auntie’s maintain a safe, well-managed and enjoyable environment where dogs can socialise, play and thrive..

What are the facilities?

Auntie’s Doggie Daycare has been carefully designed to provide dogs with a fun, stimulating and comfortable environment throughout their day.

The large exercise arena provides plenty of space for dogs to run, play and explore. It includes climbing frames, slides, tunnels and a range of enrichment activities, including our much-loved “What’s in the Box?” games, ensuring there is always something exciting to discover.

When it’s time to slow things down, our dedicated rest areas provide the pawfect place for dogs to relax and recharge. Every dog has their own individual pod or crate, providing them with a comfortable, secure space where they can rest undisturbed when they need some downtime.

Auntie’s Doggie Daycare is open from 7.00am until 6.30pm, with collections available throughout the day. These extended hours are designed to make Doggie Daycare convenient for owners who need to get to work early or who finish after 5.00pm. We organise a variety of activities throughout each day to keep the dogs mentally and physically stimulated. Activities can include supervised free play, treasure hunts, puzzle games, enrichment activities and, of course, our very special Doggie Birthday Parties! Every day is a little different, but the aim remains the same: happy, tired and contented dogs going home after a fun-filled day at Auntie’s.

Puppy Club

AAuntie’s Puppy Club is designed specifically for our younger Daycare members, from 12 to 24 weeks of age. Puppies enjoy the same fun, social and stimulating Daycare environment as our older dogs, with the additional benefit of being able to learn from their more experienced canine friends.

Dogs naturally learn a great deal from one another, and spending time around well-socialised adult dogs helps puppies develop confidence, understand appropriate canine behaviour and learn their doggie manners. Our experienced Doggie Daycare team carefully supervise these interactions to ensure that puppies are introduced to other dogs in a safe, positive and appropriate way.

Puppies must have completed their initial vaccination course and have been cleared by their vet to mix with other dogs before joining Daycare. This is usually around 12 weeks of age, although the exact timing will depend on the individual puppy and their vaccination schedule. Our Doggie Daycare team are mindful of the additional needs of young puppies, allowing time for meals, naps and quiet periods throughout the day. Puppies are given the opportunity to play, explore, socialise and learn at their own pace while becoming accustomed to the routines and environment of Daycare.

The main difference between Puppy Club and our standard Daycare membership is that puppies do not need to be neutered or spayed while they are within the Puppy Club age range. Once they reach the appropriate age to move into standard Daycare membership, our usual neutering requirements apply.

Puppy Club gives young dogs the opportunity to experience Daycare from an early age, learn from their older friends and develop into confident, well-socialised and well-mannered members of the Auntie’s family.
